Guided Tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii & Naples

Discover one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, hometown to the wife of Rome’s 5th emperor, Nero: the Ruins of Pompeii!

Meet your friendly and history-loving guide early in the morning in Rome! Grab a comfortable spot on your coach bus, and you will be on your way to the beautiful and lively city of Naples. Enjoy lovely views of the Castelli Romani countryside between the two antique cities. Approximately halfway to NAPLES, you can admire, perched on a hill, the Abbey of Montecassino, a stunning and sacred place of great historical importance.

Once in Naples, we will make a quick panoramic stop to admire Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Piazza del Municipio, the Gallery of Umberto I, the San Carlo Opera House…Naples is full of gems! After lunch, you will continue to POMPEII RUINS: it will be time to explore the world-famous excavations of this ancient Roman city that, along with Herculaneum, were destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.C..

Your archaeological journey through Pompeii will allow you to take in the sheer enormity of the city and understand life during Roman times. Pompeii is unique, as it is perfectly preserved. Among the well preserved frescoes, houses, villas and baths, it is possible to see the intact remains of people, domestic animals, and food.

At the end of the visit, you will return to the coach for our drive back to Rome. This full-day tour is the best way to discover the heart of Naples, and then learn all about the fascinating archeological site of Pompeii, as you walk through a place frozen in time.
